Adam Weissel received the United States Navy Peacetime Congressional Medal of Honor. While serving as a cook aboard the United States training ship the Minnesota, the captain fell overboard and was in distress. Weissel jumped overboard and sustained Captain Lorenze until a rescue boat arrived.
He worked for the San Francisco Appraiser’s Office for twenty years.
